Sunday planning, and a grocery list that adds itself up
By Joelynn · October 9, 2026

Growing up, Sunday meant someone at the table with a pen, the back of an envelope, and a lot of "do we still have rice?"
I love that memory. I do not love doing math on envelopes. These days my Sunday planning takes about five minutes:
1. Put a few Pages on your week
Pick what you are cooking and drop each one onto a day.
2. Set servings for each meal
Cooking for two on Tuesday and the whole crew on Sunday? Each meal scales on its own.
3. Open Shop
Matching ingredients are added together (three recipes with onions become one line) and sorted by department, so you walk the store once.
4. Tick what you already have
Anything you do not buy rolls into next week, so nothing quietly falls off the list.
The envelope can go back to being an envelope.
