How I save recipes from TikTok (without pausing 40 times)
By Joelynn · October 9, 2026

Confession: for a long time, my method for cooking a TikTok recipe was to prop my phone against the flour jar and pause, rewind, pause, rewind. Forty times. With sticky hands.
The food was always worth it. The process was not. So now I turn the video into a written Page before I ever turn on the stove. Here is how:
1. Copy the link
Tap Share on the video, then Copy link.
2. Paste it into your cookbook
Open Add a Page and paste the link. The app reads the video, the caption and the creator's comments, so the little tips people mention in passing get picked up too.
3. Check your Page and save
Pick a cover still, confirm the course and cuisine, and save. The creator stays credited in the title, because they did the hard part.
One honest note: if a video does not actually include a recipe, the app tells you so instead of making one up, and it does not use any of your Ink.
Now my phone stays clean, and the recipe is waiting in my cookbook whenever I want it again.
